Nursing and Midwifery Symposium (in Farsi):

Whereas ART nurses are the first ones who answer the patients' questions about all treatment procedures and have direct contact with patients, they ought to know all techniques and be expertise in managing different steps of treatment via appropriate communication with the patients.

To increase the knowledge and scientific level of nurses and midwives in ART clinics, we decided to organize the symposium of "Nursing and Midwifery in Infertility" in Farsi language, first time in 2006 along with the Royan International Congress on Reproductive Biomedicine and Stem Cells Biotechnology.

The symposium is organized by Zahra Ezzabadi, the nursing and midwifery manager of Royan Institute, and support of ART doctors and assistants of the institute.

The scope of subjects of the symposium is as follows:

v  Common reasons of infertility

v  Special nursing care in infertility(OHSS, endometriosis, PCOS)

v  The role of informing and education of infertile couples in success rate of ART

v  How to get in touch with infertile couples in case of psychological, social and medical problems

v  Effective basis on success rate

v  The role of nutrition in infertile patients

v  The role of nurses and midwives in prenatal care and high risk pregnancies

v  Nursing managements in relation with infertility treatment side effects

We are hopefully going to hold the 5th "Nursing and Midwifery in Infertility" on September, 15-17, 2010 with more information and high level articles from all over the country.

We accept abstracts both in Farsi and English, but the lectures will be in Farsi language to be more efficient and useful for Iranian participants.

Looking forward to receiving your articles and meeting you soon,

Best Regards

The Executive Committee
